L O V E . . .
Love can mean so many different things, its a broad word that engulfs large amounts of feelings, people, emotions, things, places and so much more. It means a number of vastly incredible things to any one person in particular. There is no one definition. Only with love can you accomplish great things. The only thing I believe that everyone has in common with this word is how necessary love is to life. Without love we are motivated by merely nothing. We all have to do things in life that we don’t want to do, but we are completely and helplessly driven by what does excite us, what fascinates us, and what makes us feel like our very best selves. These are all things that we love to do, love to see, love to participate in, love to spend our lives dedicating ourselves to.
Without love what are we? A series of grey blobbed bodies all mushed together on one planet. Without our sheer interest and love for, hell whatever, we would be nothing, we would not accomplish anything of even the slightest bit of greatness.
Maybe this all seems so elementary to you, sure, we all love to love, its what we crave most in this life. But then why do we spend so much time doing things we hate and letting them rule our lives just because society’s norms effortlessly push us in that direction. You wont be able to achieve greatness without grave effort, but so many people easily and mindlessly live their lives in mediocrity. Any one of us could be the next big influence. We want to spread our truth in life and live out to be our best selves.
We are limited only by ourselves and our fears of grave trial. We are afraid that we will be foolish for trying our very hardest and still not making it to the point we want to. We are afraid to even try because we can’t fathom failing and letting ourselves down.
The only thing in this life that is utterly foolish is not being able to reach the best possible you that you can be simply because “you were scared”. There’s no other reasoning as to why you wouldn’t do these things other than being scared. You can accomplish great things with little money, little possessions, all you need is you, a little passion and some love.
With love we are connected through a portal that only leads to greatness. Find what you love, I don’t care what the hell it is, if you love it, do it. If you love it badly enough you will find a way to keep with it until you reach the level you know you were born to.
I’ve never felt as though I had a path, I have interests but they are hobbies. I love writing and I love nature and the outdoors, but I couldn’t deal with either as a profession, it would ruin the sheer bliss and feelings of freedom that I experience with them. I like to dedicate my own time to them, they are an outlet for me, a job would ruin that. Everyone put into my head that I had to have it all figured out, I had to have a secure and very well thought out path in order to be successful. Bullshit. Walk through life with absolutely no expectations but with a plan to live a great life, and you will love it because you will find a way to do it.
The only damn thing that will ever make me feel most alive in this world is loving. I want to spread love, power, encouragement, feelings of solace and serenity. I find that as humans we crave these things at all times. Without love we are nothing. Joy will always be a part of my life as long as I am simply loving. Weather is be romantic love, the love shared between a friendship, whatever it is, if the only thing I am meant to do in this life is make others feel loved and appreciated I am very at peace with that, hopefully that will push them to love like I do because its the best gift you can offer to yourself and others.
We are always so stuck with ourselves that we don’t feel seen, we don’t feel felt, we don’t feel loved. But we crave it! We need it! Give it out and get it in return. Love with no conditions, love no matter what, love always. This fucking world needs love, don’t spend all your time worrying about what your plans and goals are, if all you know is that you want to love, that’s all that matters. Always.
***This post was inspired by Living, Loving, and Learning by Leo F. Buscaglia, a man that dedicated his life to spreading love and ways to wholeheartedly live life to the absolute fullest. It changed my life, and I wish I could stress enough how important it was for me to hear his words so you felt the same, but all I can say is read the damn book!
You have great ideas. I share many of your thoughts.
